We are now very pleased to announce the launch of our new "full canvas" jacket.
This kind of jacket is constructed with hand stitching of the canvas to the fabric instead of the application of thermal fusing (internlining).
The main advantage of this, is the weight of the jacket is reduced and has a softer and more supple feel, increasing comfort and providing a better fit.
This new line will come at and additional cost of £250 (email for price-lists) and will debut on our upcoming trip to The States.

Steed Instagram Account & The Importance Of Social Media In The World Of Bespoke
First of all I must apologise to our customers and readers about the lack of articles here on our blog, Steed's View.
This in part, has been down to our very hectic schedule of late, with Dad and I recently returning from our July trip to The States, which was our third trip this year and I am very pleased to say that the last two in particular have been our best ever.
However now we are back home I will be making a concerted effort to post articles as regularly as I can.
With this being said, I am also starting to really get to grips with three of the larger social media platforms.
I have been using Facebook, Twitter & Instagram on a personal level for a number of years now but it has been in the last 12 months or so where I have come to realise the high importance of these modern social platforms to stay in touch with and build great working friendships with our fantastic customers.
I think what we do really well here at Steed is being very open with our customers and potential customers by giving a great insight and behind the scenes access into what goes on at a Savile Row Tailors.
There maybe some reluctance from some of the older firms on "The Row" to give this insight but I think it is very important and exciting for our customers to see the effort and artistry that goes into making bespoke clothes.
This all started with the launch of our new website and being the first ever Bespoke Tailors to offer a "Bespoke Customer Login", which most of you will know gives access to bespoke clients, to be able to witness their clothes being made in a time-line format, with photos and descriptions so they can see the progression of their suits etc. As time goes by, I am developing this feature to give a more in-depth look.
Now for those of you that are currently active users of Instagram, I have recently started to use our Steed Instagram account much more over the last week or so. I have begun posting a couple of photos a day, which show a great little insight into everyday life here at Steed.
We have actually seen a great response in this last week by going from just 80 followers to over 1300 followers in a week and I am sure that the more we post the more our following will grow.
For those of you that have not heard of or know little about Instagram, here is a brief description below:
"Instagram is an online photo-sharing, video-sharing and social networking service that enables its users to take pictures and videos, apply digital filters to them, and share them on a variety of social networking services, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr. A distinctive feature is that it confines photos to a square shape, similar to Kodak Instamatic and Polaroid images, in contrast to the 16:9 aspect ratio now typically used by mobile device cameras.
Instagram was created by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger and launched in October 2010. The service rapidly gained popularity, with over 100 million active users as of April 2012. Instagram is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Originally a purely photo-sharing service, Instagram incorporated video sharing in June 2013, allowing its users to record and share videos lasting for up to 15 seconds."
We will also be looking to use the new video feature on Instagram to give even more insight, behind the scenes
here at Steed.
To find us on Instagram just search for this username and we should pop up for you to then follow if you are also a user of the service.
I hope you all enjoy our posts.
